Welcome to your Self-Care Sunday.

What does it look like to love yourself in a world that stresses both our physical and emotional beings? How do we equip ourselves with tools to break free from the chains of unworthiness and shame to embrace the power of our individual identities?

This workshop will share the frameworks available to start your journey in redefining self-love. We will then build upon these frameworks in a guided writing workshop to map a foundation of goals and intentions to support your vision. Pause, step away from your everyday routines, and join us in creating your self-love roadmap.

Come prepared to learn, let go of expectations, and write—all in a safe space with community.

Join Nisha Garigarn and Cassandra Lam for an evening of conversation and new friendships at The Cosmos' first NYC community gathering!

Nisha Garigarn

Co-Founder of Croissant

Nisha is a marketer and designer based in Brooklyn. With Croissant, she seeks to create a delightful way to access flexible workspaces around your city. When she’s not working on building her startup, you can find her journaling at pretty coffee shops or wandering around the city taking photos.

Cassandra Lam

Co-Founder of The Cosmos

Cassandra is on a mission to change the way women live and work from the inside out. She believes that storytelling is our biggest, but often forgotten, superpower. Working at the intersection of wellness, social justice, and community, she is passionate about using creative and playful techniques to awaken people to their innate abilities to shape reality. By cultivating a nourishing relationship to our bodies, words, and thoughts, she believes we can all live our best lives.

Growing up Asian American likely means we’ve had to upset, disappoint, or disagree with family members at one point or another.

When our sets of values clash, how do we navigate our relationships with loved ones and manage different cultural and social expectations? How can we develop confidence to show up fully in our work and lives? What does love and patience look like when we don't see eye to eye?

These are some of the questions and themes we'll explore together as a community in a supportive setting.

Community Gatherings strive to bring Asian women together to authentically connect, support, and learn from one another in intimate spaces. This is a donation-based offering. Light bites and beverages provided!

why attend? here from a member of the community

"I think I speak for more than myself, but I had felt such a loneliness and alienation for not having people in my life to have conversations as candid as we did. It's such a relief not to feel that way anymore because I feel like I suddenly have sisters I had never before."
